Grade 1-3

Our Approach to the Intermediate Phase

The junior phase is the time when we build on the foundation laid by the previous phase.  Our learners are encouraged to ask questions and explore various avenues of information acquisition, while we focus on the basic, yet very important skills, that will set them up for success in the next steps in their education.  Good handwriting, letter formation, arithmetic, and gross and fine motor coordination skills, as well as digital literacy, are examples of what forms the backbone of what we want our learners to have a strong grounding in.  When they complete our phase, they will leave with the tools to become not only passive recipients in the learning process but rather active and inquisitive participants.  We encourage and develop a growth mindset and a love for learning.  Our learners will be leaving with an understanding of the Gospel message, and also their part to play in His Kingdom on earth.
