A BRIEF HISTORY

Highlands Primary School (formerly known as Middelburg Christian School) was founded in 1998 in church classrooms with an intake of 25 learners.  Over time the school has grown from strength to strength.  Of the original intake of students in those early years, many of them have gone on to achieve tremendous success in tertiary studies and resulting careers.  Today we have our very own 4-hectare property at 1 Ametis Crescent, Extension 18, Middelburg, which was donated to the school by the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality. 

 

Thanks to God's grace upon the vision of the school and the generosity of many stakeholders, the school boasts current facilities of excellent quality and standard to accommodate over 200 learners. Our premises can further accommodate future development of sports fields and facilities (in progress), a dedicated School administration block (in progress) more classrooms, a school hall, better playgrounds, a dedicated Early Childhood Development Centre, and tennis & netball courts.
